I'm Pieter Doesburg, a freelance IT recruiter and ATS specialist. Independent for over ten years — with a start you wouldn't expect.

Thirteen years in care taught me to look at the person behind the CV — not at a quota.

Background

An unusual route.

I didn't start out in recruitment. For thirteen years I worked as a care worker at Vanboeijen in Assen, supporting people with complex needs. After moving to Spain I spent years building CMS websites and doing keyword research as an SEO specialist.

I've been in recruitment since 2017, under my own name since 2023. Those two backgrounds — an eye for the person, and knowing how you get found — I still use every day.
